“Preston, with A Custom Build, has been an integral part of our construction journey. We started this process in 2019 with an architect and started meeting with Preston in July 2020. He was very thorough in his bid and was able to give us details as well as secondary options for all costs he had included in his bid. This is the main reason why we decided to hire him for our 1,500 square foot addition. 2020 was a crazy time and was made only crazier by the fact that I was pregnant and expecting our first child, which made the addition necessary for our growing family. Our permit was approved by the City in February 2021, around this same time an original cast iron pipe burst unexpectedly and flooded our kitchen leaving a damaged/unusable kitchen (which was not part of the initial scope of the project). Thankfully Preston added a new kitchen to our scope and quickly helped us manage this project and get us back into our home as fast as possible.
It was always our goal to stay in our home during the construction of the addition and he was able to help us limit the time we were staying with family and in Air BNB’s. As our home is now in the final completion phase we have been very happy with Preston’s work. He is always available to talk and review concerns and ideas (however crazy they may be). He has also ensured that any concerns with the work were corrected quickly by the vendor. Although it has been a long journey, I can honestly say that we are very happy with our home and the work done by Preston.
